Ubisoft has launched a promotion for everyone who wanted to try Rainbow Six Siege. According to , the shooter will be free to play from August 28 to September 3.

According to PC Gamer journalists, the free period will end just before the launch of the new operation Ember Rise, which will add operators and other content. The exact release date has not been disclosed yet, but the addition is already available on test servers.
With the Ember Rise operation, the game will feature two new operators - defender Goyo and attacker Amaru. The first one's special ability will be to place a shield with an incendiary bomb outside, while the latter will be able to scale vertical surfaces using her grappling hook.
