The release of the minimalist browser links 2.20 has occurred, functioning in both text and graphical modes. The browser supports HTML 4.0, but lacks CSS and JavaScript. In text mode, the browser consumes about 2.5 MB of RAM.
- A bug has been fixed that could potentially allow user identification when accessing through Tor. When connecting to Tor, the browser sent DNS queries to standard DNS servers outside the Tor network if there were prefetch control tags present (‹link rel="dns-prefetch" href="http://host.domain/›), starting from release 2.15;
- Issues with cookie expiration have been resolved;
- Support for the zstd compression algorithm has been added;
- When accessing Google, the browser now identifies itself as "Lynx/Links," and Google responds with a version of pages without CSS;
- To ensure smoother mouse control, an attempt is now made to use "/dev/input/mice" instead of gpm first;
- Support for the URL "file://localhost/usr/bin/" or "file://hostname/usr/bin/" has been added;
- Links now works on OS Haiku.
