The package includes an implementation of DirectX 9 (based on D9VK), DirectX 10/11 (based on DXVK) and DirectX 12 (based on vkd3d), which operates through translating DirectX calls into the Vulkan API, provides enhanced support for game controllers, and allows full-screen mode usage regardless of supported screen resolutions in games.

In the new version:

  • The DXVK layer (implementation of DXGI, Direct3D 10 and Direct3D 11 on top of the Vulkan API) has been updated to version 1.3.4, which fixes a memory leak that occurs when launching games using Direct2D. Performance issues in the game Quantum Break, which appear when using NVIDIA drivers and older AMD drivers, have been addressed. For the Control game, the d3d11.allowMapFlagNoWait option has been enabled for better GPU resource utilization;
  • The D9VK layer (implementation of Direct3D 9 on top of the Vulkan API) has been updated to an experimental version 0.21-rc-p;
  • FAudio components with implementations of DirectX sound libraries (API XAudio2, X3DAudio, XAPO, and XACT3) have been updated to the release 19.09;
