Reddit user u/DavidAGra (David Jorge Aguirre Gracio) presented the first version of his own rocket flight simulator – «F9sim» 1.0.
Currently, it is a free simulator written in Delphi using technologies OpenGL, but the project author is considering the possibility of opening the source code and rewriting the project code in C++/Qt5.
The initial goal of the project is to create a realistic 3D simulation of the flight of the first stage of the launch vehicle Falcon 9 developed by the company SpaceX, as well as a control panel for configuring flight parameters, with the ability to track and analyze telemetry; for loading preset missions "F9sim" requires an Internet connection (in addition to mission data, mission videos from the official SpaceX channel on YouTube are also loaded).
Binary packages are prepared for platforms Windows and WINE (x86 and x86_64).
