On September 18, 2019, the Parrot Project blog announced the release of Parrot 4.7. It is based on the Debian Testing package base. Three versions of ISO images are offered for download: two with the MATE desktop environment and one with the KDE desktop.
What's New in Parrot 4.7:
- The structure of the security testing utilities menu has been redesigned.
- A mode for launching applications in isolation from the rest of the system has been added (firejail and apparmor). The mode is optional.
- The MATE desktop has been updated to version 1.22.
- Updated versions of software (Firefox, radare2, cutter, etc.).
- Additionally, please note the change of the main website address from parrotsec.org to parrotlinux.org.
