The official company blog has published information about the latest release of the Oracle Solaris 11.4 SRU 13 distribution. It includes a number of fixes and improvements for the Oracle Solaris 11.4 branch.
Among the changes, the following can be noted:
- Inclusion of the Hotplug framework for hot removal of SR-IOV PCIe devices. Commands 'evacuate-io' and 'restore-io' have been added for extracting and replacing devices in ldm;
- Oracle Explorer (a toolkit for building system configuration and state) has been updated to version 19.3.1;
- A sd_recv_uio handler has been added to the system, allowing for increased UDP performance;
- When executing the 'pkg update' command, the boot environment names are automatically selected based on version numbers;
- Privileged users now have the ability to increase the timer accuracy for selected processes;
- Versions of programs (ImageMagick, wget, bzip2, nss, hex, Ghostscript, libxslt, etc.) have been updated.
To install updates, simply execute the 'pkg update' command.
