Nim is a statically typed language focused on efficiency, readability, and flexibility.
Version 1.0 features a stable foundation that can be confidently used for years to come. From this release onward, any code written in Nim will not be broken.
This release includes numerous changes, bug fixes, and some language enhancements. It also comes with an updated package manager, Nimble.
Version 1.0 now has LTS status. Support and bug fixes will continue as long as there's demand. New features that do not break backward compatibility will be developed in the 1.x branch.
The current goal is for any code that compiles with this release to continue compiling with any stable version of 1.x in the future.
The compiler still implements features described in the 'experimental guide.' In these features, backward incompatible changes may still be made. There are also modules in the standard library that are still considered unstable and marked as unstable API.
