Anonymous access in Tails is provided by the Tor system. All connections, except for traffic through the Tor network, are block by the packet filter by default. - A fresh Linux kernel 5.3.2 has been deployed. Improved hardware support (new drivers for Wi-Fi and graphics cards have been added). Support for devices with Thunderbolt interface has been added;

- The initial setup interface after the first system login (Tails Greeter) has been improved. The initial setup has been simplified for users who do not speak English. In the language selection dialog, unnecessary languages have been cleaned up, leaving only languages with sufficient amounts of translations. The keyboard layout selection has been simplified. Issues with opening available help pages in languages other than English have been resolved. The formatting settings have been streamlined. Additional settings are now ignored after pressing the "Cancel" or "Back" buttons;
- Performance and memory consumption have been optimized. Load time has been reduced by 20%, and the memory requirement has decreased by approximately 250 MB. The size of the boot image has been reduced by 46 MB.
- The on-screen keyboard has been redesigned for easier use.
- The ability to display the password for permanent storage during its creation has been added.
- Support for network connection via iPhone connected through USB (USB Tethering) has been added.
- New guides have been added to the documentation for all data from the device, including USB drives and SSDs, as well as for backups of permanent storage.
- The Home launcher has been removed from the desktop. Default suggested accounts have been removed from Pidgin.
- The issue with opening sections with Tails data from other USB drives has been resolved.
