ESET Company announced the release of new versions of NOD32 Antivirus and NOD32 Internet Security, designed to protect devices running Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android from malware and online threats.
The new generation of ESET security solutions features more effective tools to counter modern cyber threats, with improved reliability and speed. Developers have especially focused on incorporating protective measures that utilize machine learning technologies and artificial intelligence based on neural networks.
Improvements have also been made to the intrusion prevention system (HIPS), the Anti-Phishing module, and the Home Network Protection component. Now, ESET NOD32 products check all devices connected to the home router and provide information about them (name, model, manufacturer, etc.), as well as report potential issues—such as uncovered vulnerabilities or weak passwords. To test password strength, ESET solutions can simulate basic attacks by brute-forcing combinations.
Significant enhancements have also been reported for the Online Payment Protection module. It now works with an expanded list of banking websites and cryptocurrency resources, and supports the HTTP/2 protocol. ESET NOD32 Internet Security includes a built-in list of sites (with editing capabilities), where a special protected browser opens when accessed.
