The Document Foundation introduced release of the office suite LibreOffice 6.4. Tools for composing tables have been added to the Writer sidebar;
The cutting, copying, and pasting capabilities for tables have been improved. Commands for quickly moving and deleting entire tables and individual rows/columns have been added (when cutting, not only the content of the table is cut but also its structure).
* Table, row, and column movement using the mouse has been enhanced in drag & drop mode. A new menu item 'Paste as Nested Table' has been added for creating nested tables (inserting one table into another);In Calc, the selection of cells containing hyperlinks has also been improved. The calculation of unrelated formula groups across different CPU cores has been parallelized. A multi-threaded version of the sorting algorithm has been added, which is currently applied only to pivot tables;
In Impress and Draw, the ‘Shape’ menu now includes the ‘Consolidate Text’ option, allowing several selected text blocks to be combined into one. For instance, this operation may be needed after importing from PDF, which resulted in text being split into numerous disjointed blocks;
The capabilities of the server edition of LibreOffice Online have been expanded, allowing for collaborative work with the office suite via the web. In Writer Online, it is now possible to change table properties through the sidebar. Full support for working with the document's table of contents has been implemented.
In Calc Online, all features of the function wizard are now available.
Support for the conditional formatting management dialog has been added. All options displayed when selecting charts have been implemented in the sidebar;

VCL plugins kf5 and Qt5, allowing the use of native KDE and Qt dialogs, buttons, window frames, and widgets, have been brought closer in capabilities to other VCL plugins. The kde5 plugin has been renamed to kf5.
Support for Java 6 and 7 has been discontinued (Java 8 remains) and the VCL rendering backend using GTK+2 has been removed.
