Tiny Core Team announced The release of the new version of the lightweight distribution Tiny Core Linux 11.0. The OS operates quickly because the system loads entirely into memory, requiring only 48 MB of RAM.
The novelty of version 11.0 is the transition to kernel 5.4.3 (instead of 4.19.10) and broader support for new hardware. Updated are busybox (1.13.1), glibc (2.30), gcc (9.2.0), e2fsprogs (1.45.4), and util-linux (2.34). The nouveau module is included, but the use of the nvidia binary driver is recommended.
ISO images are available for platforms x86 and x86_64. The sizes of the distributions (increased by 1 MB): 14 MB for the command line; 19 MB for flwm (32-bit); 27 MB for TinyCorePure64 (flwm).
