A new release of the Tails live distribution, focused on ensuring anonymity and personal data protection on the internet, has been announced.
This distribution is intended solely for use on removable media, preferably write-protected. All network connections are routed exclusively through the TOR network. Your data is not saved anywhere unless you explicitly state otherwise. No traces are left on the computer.
This release adds support for the Trezor hardware wallet. Various security vulnerabilities have also been fixed. All Tails users are strongly urged to update to the latest version immediately.
The main components have been updated:
Tor Browser to 9.0.5;
Thunderbird to 68.4.1;
Linux Kernel to 5.4.13;
Tor to 0.4.2.6.
