On February 11, a new release of the Thunderbird email client 68.5.0 was launched. There are two main innovations:
- Support for Client Identity IMAP/SMTP Service Extension has been added (enables client identification using a token)
- For POP3 accounts, the ability to identify through OAuth 2.0 has been introduced
The following bugs have been fixed:
- During account setup, the status bar becomes empty
- In the calendar, you can now remove the color for default categories
- Repeated loading of the calendar component is now prohibited (theoretically, it will eat less memory)
- The 'Today' panel can now remember its width.
