The new chip from Broadcom, labeled BCM4389, also supports Bluetooth 5, and its primary purpose is for smartphones. Besides the reduced power consumption, the company promises data transmission speeds of up to 2.1 Gbps, which is five times faster than the 400 Mbps offered by Wi-Fi 6 supporting modules.
