Oracle Linux 8.1 distribution is available

Oracle Corporation released release of the industrial distribution Oracle Linux 8.1, based on the package base Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1. For unlimited downloads, but after free registration, is distributed installation iso image, sized 6.6 Gb, prepared for the x86_64 architecture (additionally available experimental build for ARM64). For Oracle Linux is open unrestricted and free access to the yum repository with binary package updates addressing bugs (errata) and security issues. For download also are separately supported Application Stream modules.

The build is delivered by default based on the standard package with the kernel from Red Hat Enterprise Linux (based on kernel 4.18). The proprietary Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel for Oracle Linux 8 is still under development. According to functionality the releases of Oracle Linux 8.1 and RHEL 8.1 are fully identical.
