Release of CentOS Atomic Host 7.1910, a specialized OS for running Docker containers.

CentOS Project presented has released a minimalist operating system, CentOS Atomic Host 7.1910, delivered as a fully updatable monolithic image. It provides a basic environment containing only the essential components (systemd, journald, docker, rpm-OSTree, geard, etc.) required to run and manage isolated Docker containers. All packages needed for end application functionality are included directly within the containers, while the host system contains nothing superfluous.

CentOS Atomic Host is a rebuild of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host RHEL 7.7 product, which in turn is based on the contributions of the free project Atomic. CentOS Atomic Host builds are are available in the form of installation ISO images, Vagrant virtual machine images (Libvirt, VirtualBox), and qcow2 (OpenStack, AWS, Libvirt).
