On December 22, the latest version of the popular free planetarium Stellarium was released, visualizing the realistic night sky as if you were viewing it with the naked eye, or through binoculars or a telescope.
A total of about 100 changes have been made compared to the previous version.
Among the main changes are:
- Direct ASCOM support in the telescope control plugin for Windows
- Refactoring of the graphical interface
- Many improvements in the code
- Many textures of deep space objects have been added and updated
- Enhancements in the catalog of deep space objects
- Many improvements to the 'Astronomical Calculations' tool
