Another release has occurred in the current mainline branch of the nginx web server. Active development is ongoing in branch 1.17, while only bug fixes are being made to the current stable branch (1.16).
- Fix: A segmentation fault could occur at startup or during reconfiguration if the rewrite directive was used with an empty replacement string in the configuration.
- Fix: A segmentation fault could occur in the worker process if the break directive was used in conjunction with the alias directive or the proxy_pass directive with a URI.
- Fix: The Location header string in the response could contain garbage if the request URI was changed to a URI containing a null character.
- Fix: Redirects returned using the error_page directive were incorrectly processed for requests with a body; the error appeared in 0.7.12.
- Fix: Socket leaks when using HTTP/2.
- Fix: A timeout could occur when processing pipelined requests over SSL-the connection; the error appeared in 1.17.5.
