Therefore, according to the company, in the 2004 build, the indexer will receive a new operating algorithm that will monitor the system indexing's excessive "appetite" and reduce resource consumption. True, this will likely slow down the search itself.
The company clarifies that indexing will pause when CPU load exceeds 80%, as well as when disk load exceeds 70%. Additionally, this service will be disabled when game mode is activated or when battery charge is below 50%.
Finally, Redmond promised to continue improving the search system. It should be noted that this innovation is expected to appear already in April-May of this year. However, this does not guarantee timelines or the absence of other issues in the update. This is Microsoft, after all, anything can happen.
