The new release mainly offers bug fixes related to the experimental support for running X11 applications in Wayland-based environments (using Xwayland). There is now the capability to decorate windows for X11 and an option to override the execution path for the Xwayland executable. Code related to Xwayland has been cleaned up. In one of the upcoming releases, the status of X11 support will be changed from experimental.
In the implementation of the Wayland platform, which allows Mir to run as a client under another Wayland composite server (such a server may include the miral-system-compositor provided by Mir), support for output scaling configuration has been added.
