- Learning and education are closely related but not identical.
- Our brain is a machine that can learn, and often it learns automatically. Therefore, if a person engages in a task for a long time with intention, regardless of their abilities, they will learn that task. The other question is how quickly and how well.
- Nevertheless, a person has predispositions; it is also impossible to be a genius in everything right away, so you can learn, but becoming a master is not guaranteed.
- The answer to the question “How much time should be spent on learning?” is individual. We discuss this in the context of learning English.
- Technically, a person doesn't have the time to study several unrelated fields (and become a professional in them). On the other hand, we try to teach our children this way to “broaden their horizons.”
- There are two approaches to learning: a) learning as a “turnkey service”: universities, courses, schools, etc.; b) self-learning, including with the help of tutors. We discuss the effectiveness of these approaches.
- Why continue learning after college when you’re already working and everything is, in general, fine?

- Being smart helps in learning only if you are studying. If you are not learning, then intelligence offers little benefit. Figuratively speaking, the “dumb shepherd” is not much different from the “smart shepherd.”
- We move on to discussing learning methods/technologies. If a person studies simply because they are interested, then there’s no need to think about methods or the right way; just do things right or wrong—it doesn't matter. If there is a specific goal for learning, then the process should be organized, and if you are learning something physical (like sports, music, embroidery, etc.), it's essential to learn under the guidance of an experienced master.
- We are discussing the methodology of learning in fields that primarily involve the brain (conceptually) without the participation of the body.
- There is no single answer to the question of 'how to quickly determine the true level of professionalism of your instructor,' but there are a number of rules to follow.
- We believe that there is no such thing as a mathematical or humanitarian mindset. You either have intelligence, or you don't. It works similarly in the other direction. After all, the statement 'I am a programmer/techie/engineer; I am not capable of understanding the Russian language' is merely an excuse.
- When choosing between 'learning in a group' and 'learning individually,' we prefer the first option.
