Crytek continues to develop its shareware shooter Warface, originally released in 2013,
Warface is a multiplayer first-person shooter that offers a wide variety of PvP and PvE modes. It allows combatants to take on the appearance of five different classes: long-range sniper, medium-range marksman, SED attack aircraft, engineer and medic.
Gameplay Warface on Nintendo Switch
According to publisher My.Games, the Switch game runs at 30fps at 540p in handheld mode and 720p in stationary mode on a TV screen. It also includes gyroscope support for more precise aiming, vibration feedback, voice chat, and can be played online without an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Initially, Switch owners will have access to five PvP modes: Free For All, Team Death Match, Plant the Bomb, Storm and Blitz, as well as all PvE missions currently available on other platforms, in which teams of players are opposed by AI-controlled opponents. Three long-running raid operations (HQ, Cold Peak, and Earth Shaker) are also available at launch, with players able to unlock new content and modes each week.
Warface is available to download right now on Switch, and the publisher notes that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners have also received a Titan update that fully synced content between the console and PC versions of the shooter.
