Red Hat has released its annual Open Source Status Report in the Enterprise world. 950 IT company leaders were surveyed about their reasons for using open source software. The participants were unaware that the survey was sponsored by Red Hat.
Key Findings:
- 95% of respondents deemed open source software as strategically important for their business
- 77% of respondents believe that the share of Open Source in the Enterprise world will continue to grow
- 86% of the company leaders surveyed think that the most advanced firms utilize Open Source
