AdDuplex's statistical report, which analyzed the state of the market and the share of the Windows 10 operating system for February 2020. According to the report, Windows 10 November 2019 Update (version 1909) holds 22.6%, which is 7.4% more than the previous month.
According to the source, the most active users transitioning to the new OS are those who installed Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809). Meanwhile, Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903) still leads the way. Its share stands at 52.6%; however, this number is clearly at its peak. It has already declined — 0.5% lower than January's figures. Overall, the global share of Windows 10 1903 and 1909 is 75.5%. In other words, three-quarters of computers running Windows 10 are on the 2019 version.
It should be noted that after the end of support for Windows 7, the overall market share of Windows 10 increased. This was also aided by the first public beta version of Windows 10X. Although these versions experienced numerous update issues, it seems there is simply no alternative.
Despite all the calls to action, users are more willing to switch to new builds of Windows 10 than to Linux. This is primarily because many games, especially AAA titles, still perform poorly on free OS options, making these systems generally unattractive to many users.
