Developers of the project , as part of which independent community efforts are aimed at developing an Android platform port for the x86 architecture, the first stable release of the build based on the (android-9.0.0_r53). This build includes fixes and enhancements that improve the performance of Android on the x86 architecture. For download, universal Live builds of Android-x86 9 for x86 32-bit (706 MB) and x86_64 (922 MB) architectures, suitable for typical laptops and tablets. Additionally, rpm packages have been prepared for installing the Android environment in Linux distributions.
Key innovations specific to the Android-x86 build:
- Support for both 64-bit and 32-bit Linux kernel 4.19 builds and user space components;
- Use of Mesa 19.348 for OpenGL ES 3.x support with hardware acceleration for Intel, AMD and NVIDIA GPUs, as well as for QEMU virtual machines (virgl);
- Using for software rendering providing OpenGL ES 3.0 for unsupported graphics subsystems;
- Support for hardware-accelerated codecs for Intel HD graphics and G45;
- Ability to boot on systems with UEFI and installation on disk using UEFI;

- Support for themes in the GRUB-EFI bootloader;
- Support for multitouch, sound cards, Wifi, Bluetooth, sensors, camera, and Ethernet (DHCP configuration);
- Ability to simulate a wireless adapter when working via Ethernet (for compatibility with applications that rely on Wi-Fi);
- Automatic mounting of external USB drives and SD cards;
- Delivery of an alternative program launcher interface using a task panel () with a classic application menu, the ability to pin shortcuts to frequently used programs, and display a list of recently launched applications;
- Support for FreeForm multi-window mode to enable simultaneous work with multiple applications. Capability for arbitrary positioning and scaling of windows on the screen;
- The ForceDefaultOrientation option has been included to manually set the screen orientation on devices without the corresponding sensor;
- Applications designed for portrait mode can properly display on devices with a landscape screen without rotating the device;
- Ability to run applications created for the ARM platform in an x86 environment through the use of a special layer;
- Support for updates from unofficial releases;
- Experimental support for the Vulkan graphics API for new Intel and AMD GPUs;
- Mouse support when launching in VirtualBox, QEMU, VMware, and Hyper-V virtual machines.
