On March 11, the company Valve published information about the release of a new version of the Windows gaming launch package Proton 5.0-4 on their GitHub project page. The project is based on Wine 5.0, and its main task is to run games developed for the Windows OS and available in Steam catalogs.
The main changes in the new version are:
- Fixed bugs in the launcher Electronic Arts Origin.
- The game has been fixed Jedi Fallen Order.
- Grand Theft Auto V Online no longer crashes on launch.
- Resolved issues with Denuvo DRM when launching games Just Cause 3 and Batman Arkham Knight.
- Improved performance Monster Hunter World.
- In Ryse: Son of Rome fixed issues with the mouse cursor.
- Launch times for games have decreased.
- DXVK updated to version 1.5.5.
