Microsoft new features of the Teams communication platform designed to enhance employee interaction in a corporate environment.
Microsoft Teams is designed for collaboration among company employees, integrated with Office 365 applications, and positioned as a work tool for corporate interaction. Users of this service can form teams, within which they can create open channels for groups or communicate via direct messages, exchange documents, and hold virtual conferences.
Among the announced innovations and changes to the platform are real-time noise suppression features, enhanced scheduling tools for video conferences, the ability to open chats in a pop-up window, and using the Teams workspace in low internet speed conditions or offline. There is also mention of a new raise-hand feature, allowing any participant in an online meeting, even if dozens of employees are present, to send a visual signal indicating their desire to speak.
The listed features will be available in 2020.
The global launch of Microsoft Teams occurred three years ago in March 2017. Currently, the audience for the communication platform is 44 million daily users. The service is used by over 650,000 enterprises worldwide, including 93 companies from the Fortune 100 list. The product is available in 53 languages across 181 countries.
