The release took place on March 27 Wine 5.5.
Wine — a compatibility layer for Windows applications with POSIX-compatible operating systems, translating Windows API calls to POSIX calls on the fly instead of emulating Windows logic like a virtual machine.
In addition to over 32 fixes in the bug tracker, the new release includes:
- Built-in a library now use the UCRTBase C runtime
- Improved support for debugging information in PE files.
- Support for register bindings depending on the language (LCMAP_LINGUISTIC_CASING) has been added.
- WebServices supports more attributes.
