The enthusiasts from the Remaster Studio team have presented a new graphical modification for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky. It completely changes the visual aspects, updating the game to the latest version of the X-Ray engine, adding textures with resolutions ranging from 2K to 8K, new character and enemy models, reworking vegetation, and much more.

Currently, the creation is available only to subscribers of Remaster Studio on , but the mod will be released on ModDB in the coming months. The trailer that the enthusiasts accompanied the release with showcases the main advantages of the modification. Clips from the video display the changes made in specific locations. Viewers can see improved vegetation, the implementation of realistic (ambient occlusion) and global illumination effects, high-resolution textures, and enhanced appearances of characters and enemies.

According to the authors, the models of people in their mod include between 35,000 and 70,000 polygons, while animal models consist of 25,000 polygons. Let’s remember that at the end of last year, Remaster Studio released a similar creation for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Meanwhile, the developers from GSC Game World are continuing to work on the second part of the franchise and recently the first screenshot of the game with the community.
