In today's reality, where many of us work from home, it becomes clear that many computers are equipped with very mediocre microphones. Even worse, many homes lack a quiet environment suitable for audio and video conferences. To address this issue, NVIDIA has introduced the RTX Voice software tool.
The new application is not related to ray tracing, as one might infer from the name. However, the RTX Voice utility does use the tensor cores of GeForce RTX graphics cards and artificial intelligence technology to suppress noise. As a result, it can eliminate various background noises, allowing your conversation partners to hear only your voice clearly.
The RTX Voice utility also includes a second feature. It can clean not only the user's voice sent to conversation partners, but also incoming audio signals before they are played through speakers or headphones, using AI.
NVIDIA's RTX Voice application is compatible with the following applications:

- XSplit Gamecaster
- Twitch Studio
- Discord
- Google Chrome
- WebEx
- Skype
- Zoom
- Slack
However, NVIDIA notes that users may encounter issues with RTX Voice in the last four applications. Nonetheless, this technology is primarily aimed at gamers and streamers. Nevertheless, colleagues at Tom's Hardware quickly tested the new NVIDIA tool and achieved results that fully satisfied them.
