A new single-board computer for developers has arrived: the ODROID-C4 has been announced and is now available for at an estimated price of $50.
This product may rival the popular mini-computer . The novelty is based on the Amlogic hardware platform featuring the S905X3 processor. This chip contains four ARM Cortex-A55 processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz and an ARM Mali-G31MP2 GPU that supports OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.0, and OpenCL 2.0.
The DDR4 RAM capacity is 4 GB. For storage, an eMMC flash module with capacities ranging from 8 to 64 GB and a microSD card can be used.
The ODROID-C4 is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet adapter based on the Realtek RTL8211F controller. Available ports include four USB 3.0 ports, one Micro-USB 2.0 OTG port, an HDMI interface for video output, and an RJ45 socket for a network cable.
The board dimensions are 85 × 56 mm. A passive cooling system with an aluminum heatsink is responsible for heat dissipation. The total weight of the product is 59 g.
