After a year and a half of development release of the Live Distribution , based on the Debian GNU/Linux package base. The distribution includes a collection of programs for processing text data using the texttools package and performing tasks that arise in the practice of system administrators (data recovery after failures, incident analysis, etc.). In the new release:
- Package synchronization with the Debian Testing repository has been performed as of June 24.
- The mount point of the live system has been changed from /lib/live/mount/medium to /run/live/medium.
- All distribution utilities, including grml2usb, grml-paste, and grml-x, have been freed from dependency on Python2 and have been ported to Python3.
- Instead of its own Linux kernel build, the standard linux-image package from Debian (release 5.6) has been used.
- Support for Cloud-init has been added (transmitting network settings and configuring SSH during boot in cloud systems with the option 'services=cloud-init').
- Support for qemu-guest-agent has been added for management when running Grml in guest systems.
- The grml-quickconfig now displays the current network connection parameters (cloud-init, hostname, IP, zeroconf/avahi).
- 30 new packages have been included, such as
avahi-utils, bind9-dnsutils, borgbackup, fuse3, iperf3, qemu-system-gui, tmate, vim-gtk3, wireguard, and zstd.
