Minetest is a free engine for creating voxel games in Lua. A substantial number of games, as well as mods and texture packs, have been created for it. Version 5.3.0 has brought many changes, including:
- Android support has been resumed.
- Smoother camera movement.
- More precise control.
- Standard keys for changing the view and enabling the minimap have been changed to C and V respectively.
- The v7 generator now supports the generation of floating islands again. The parameters for floating islands can be adjusted in the settings, and the floating islands themselves must also be enabled in the world generation settings or server.
- PostgreSQL support has been added as a backend for the authentication system.
- The testing game Minimal Development Test (minimal) has been significantly revamped and renamed to Development Test (devtest).
Minetest Game is a voxel sandbox game created on the Minetest engine, developed by the Minetest team and often distributed alongside the engine. The following changes have occurred in Minetest Game:
