Rother OSS Company first stable ticket system , a fork of . The system is designed to address tasks such as ensuring the operation of technical support services (help desk), managing responses to customer inquiries (phone calls, email), coordinating the provision of corporate IT services, and managing requests in sales and financial departments. The OTOBO code is written in Perl and under the GPLv3 license.
Stefan Rother, now the founder and managing director of Rother OSS, joined OTRS GmbH (now OTRS AG) in 2004. In 2011, he founded his own company Rother OSS. By 2019, Rother OSS focused on providing business services related to open-source OTRS variants. In response to the changed release strategy of OTRS AG and delays in the release of new versions of OTRS Community Edition, Rother OSS began developing the OTOBO (Open Ticket Ours Based OTRS) ticketing system based on OTRS version 6. The business concept of OTOBO is to support business users, consult them, and provide training. Developments commissioned by clients that are beneficial for a broader user base are planned to be returned to its source code.
Key Changes:
