A new version of the LSP Plugins effect package has been released, designed for sound processing in audio mixing and mastering.
The most significant changes are:
- A volume compensation plugin using equal loudness curves has been added — Loudness Compensator..
- A plugin for protecting against sudden signal spikes at the start and end of playback has been added — Surge Filter..
- Significant changes have been made to the Limiter plugin: several modes have been removed and an automatic level adjustment mode has been implemented — Automatic Level Regulation (ALR).
- A mechanism for dumping the internal state of plugins to JSON files has been implemented, which can be helpful in identifying unclear situations with plugins. New plugins and some older plugins already support this mechanism.
- The ability to load Hydrogen drum kits into Multisampler plugins has been added.
- Minor changes and fixes in the spectrum analyzer.
- Some corrections in the low-level DSP code that could lead to incorrect calculations. It is strongly recommended that anyone using dynamic processing plugins updates.
- Double buffering of windows has been implemented, eliminating all flickering of controls.
