The builds are formed using package bases from Ubuntu 18.04 and Debian 10, but the environment is fully rebuilt using a custom build system that includes optimizations to reduce size, increase performance, and apply additional security mechanisms. For example, the /var/log partition is mounted using zram and stored in RAM in a compressed form, with data being flushed to the drive once a day or upon shutdown. The /tmp partition is mounted using tmpfs. The project supports over 30 variants of the Linux kernel builds for different ARM and ARM64 platforms.
In the new version:
- Kernel packages with Linux 5.7 added.
- Implemented , in which services that make network requests (time synchronization, updates from repositories, and host checks) are disabled.
- Unified Linux kernel settings for different SoCs have been conducted.
- Support for boards and SoCs Rockpi E, Rockchip RK322X, Odroid N2+, and Helios64 has been added.
- An optional automatic login mode with options for assigning a password to the root user and creating a new user has been implemented on the first boot.
