CinelerraGG is a fork of the non-linear video editor Cinelerra with the most frequent releases (once a month). Some useful features in this release include:
- Hotkeys have been added for saving the session (CTRL-S) and undoing (CTRL-Z), in addition to the already existing s and z.
- A new type of keyframe â bump keyframes. They allow for creating abruptly changing parameters, such as fade-outs or speed.
- When using the speed curve (moving a keyframe with the left mouse button held down), the future length of the track is visually drawn out.
- Languages can now be switched through settings, not just through environment variables.
- Improvements in the timecode alignment function.
- New plugins from ffmpeg: minterpolate (fps change, slow), allrgb (all colors possible in RGB), allyuv (all colors possible in YUV), cellauto, pullup (reverse telecine), selectivecolor (does the same as the eponymous filter in Photoshop), tonemap.
Known bugs:
- If you highlight a section on the timeline where there are multiple keyframes (e.g., fades), but leave some outside the highlighted area, when selecting 'Delete keyframes' with the 'Keyframes follow editing' option enabled, the keyframes will shift. Temporary solution: disable 'Keyframes follow editing' while deleting keyframes in the highlighted area.
Update: the bug has been promptly fixed in git..
