Jolla Company Release of the Sailfish operating system 3.4. Builds are prepared for Jolla 1, Jolla C, Jolla Tablet, Sony Xperia X, Xperia XA2, Sony Xperia 10, and are already available as an OTA update. Sailfish uses a graphical stack based on Wayland and Qt5 libraries, the system environment is built on Mer, which has been in use since April. as part of Sailfish, and packages from the Mer distribution Nemo. The user interface, core mobile applications, QML components for building graphical interfaces with Silica, the layer for running Android applications, smart text input engine, and data synchronization system are proprietary, but their code was planned to be open-sourced back in 2017.

- The file manager has been updated. The storage settings now have the option to rename files and directories.
- The layout for backup settings has been changed. The progress of the backup is now displayed in the events list.
- In the calendar scheduler, support has been added to highlight events for specific days of the week, new event reminder intervals have been added, and CalDAV now supports processing invites on the server side.
- In the email client, buttons for reply, reply all, delete, and forward have been added to the email preview screen. All messages are now grouped by the date they were received.
- The event viewing interface has been enhanced to display hourly weather forecasts. The Foreca API has been utilized for weather forecasting.
- Icon improvements have been made on the home screen. A button for user switching has been added to the end of the upper menu in multi-user configurations.
- All SMS messages are now grouped by the date they were received. A fast scroll mode has been added to jump to the last message in a conversation.
- The video player has been enhanced with the ability to skip forward or backward by 10 seconds.
- A new menu Settings>Users has been added, through which the device owner can create, delete, modify, and switch additional users or enable a guest user.
- Stricter checks have been added for potential conflicts with the uploaded platform update. Packages that may lead to conflicts or whose replacement may cause failures are now displayed as potentially problematic and recommended for removal before continuing the update installation.
- Issues have been resolved concerning the copying of large files (over 300MB) from PC to the device's SD card via the MTP protocol, as well as problems with transferring files to the SD card via MTP from Linux-based devices.
