On December 28, version 0.20.4 of the popular open-source planetarium Stellarium was released, visualizing the night sky realistically as if you were observing it with the naked eye, through binoculars, or a telescope.
A total of 95 changes were made between versions 0.20.3 and 0.20.4, among which the following can be highlighted (major updates):
- Added the 'Calendars' plugin;
- Numerous changes in the 'Astronomical Calculations' tool and the core of the planetarium;
- Many changes in the plugins;
- Updated the deep space object catalog (v3.12);
- Removed the 'Compass' plugin (the functionality of the plugin is now integrated into the core of the planetarium).
