The release of 4MLinux 36.0 has been published, a minimalist user distribution that is not a fork of other projects and uses a graphical environment based on JWM. 4MLinux can be used not only as a Live environment for playing multimedia files and addressing user tasks but also as a recovery system and a platform for running LAMP servers (Linux, Apache, MariaDB, and PHP). The size of the ISO image is 930 MB (i686, x86_64).
The new release adds support for the NBD (Network Block Device) protocol. The exfatprogs utilities for working with the exFAT file system have been added, and exFAT support has been integrated into the GParted partition editor. Included are: the VeraCrypt disk partition encryption system, the GTkHash checksum calculation program, and the UNetbootin LiveUSB creation utility. Packages related to Flash Player have been removed from the repository.
