According to online sources, Google has begun testing a new subscription for its photo storage service, Google Photos. The developers of XCP-ng, an open-source and free alternative to the proprietary cloud infrastructure management platform XenServer (Citrix Hypervisor), have announced their collaboration with the Xen project, which is being developed under the Linux Foundation. Joining the Xen Project will allow XCP-ng to be viewed as a standard distribution for deploying virtual machine infrastructure based on the Xen hypervisor and XAPI.
Linus Torvalds has accepted patches implementing a VPN interface from the WireGuard project and initial support for the MPTCP (MultiPath TCP) extension into the repository shaping the future branch of the Linux kernel 5.6. Previously, the cryptographic primitives required for WireGuard's operation were moved from the Zinc library into the standard Crypto API and included in the kernel 5.5.
