The second beta release of FreeBSD 12.1 has been published. FreeBSD 12.1-BETA2 is available for amd64, i386, powerpc, powerpc64, powerpcspe, sparc64, and armv6, armv7, and aarch64 architectures. The final version of the cryproarmpkcs utility has been released. A significant difference from previous versions is the addition of features related to the creation of self-signed certificates. Certificates can be created either with the generation of a key pair or based on previously created certificate requests (PKCS#10). The created certificate, along with the created key pair, is placed in a secure PKCS#12 container. The PKCS#12 container can be used when working with openssl.
