As Tesla prepares to commence mass production of the Tesla Semi electric truck, scheduled for next year, some industrial designers are considering potential applications of this platform beyond the freight transport sector, such as in the Tesla Semi camper. The camper is often associated with the freedom of movement and the opportunity for frequent changes of location. The idea that you can hit the road together […]
After six months of development, the release of the GNU C Library (glibc) 2.30 has been published, fully adhering to the ISO C11 and POSIX.1-2008 standards. This new release includes fixes from 48 developers. Among the improvements implemented in Glibc 2.30, we highlight: The dynamic linker now supports the '--preload' option for preloading shared objects (similar to the LD_PRELOAD environment variable); Added […]
OpenCV is a library designed for computer vision projects. It has been around for about 20 years. I used it back in college and still apply it to my projects in C++ and Python because it has decent support for these languages. However, when I started studying and using Go, I became curious about whether OpenCV could be used for […]

Having read articles about life in Cyprus, I also decided to share my experience, which slightly complements the experiences of previous authors. Arrival on a work visa, own company that can handle visas, green card (LTRP), citizenship, all in 15 years. And adding more figures. This might be useful for potential IT immigrants. The narrative will be as concise as possible without fluff. Work of an IT specialist In previous articles, all […]
Recently I came across an article: The difference between bin, sbin, usr/bin, usr/sbin. I would like to share my perspective on the standard. /bin Contains commands that can be used by both system administrators and users, but are essential when no other file systems are mounted (for instance, in single-user mode). It may also contain commands that are indirectly used by scripts. There […]
On November 30, 2010, David Collier wrote: I noticed that in busybox links are spread across these four directories. Is there a simple rule to determine which link belongs in which directory... For example, kill is in /bin, while killall is in /usr/bin... I see no logic in such division. You […]
The faster the development process, the faster the technology company progresses. Unfortunately, modern applications work against us — our systems need to be updated in real-time without disturbing anyone or causing downtime and interruptions. Deployment in such systems becomes a complicated task and requires complex continuous delivery pipelines even in small teams. […]
Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is beneficial. The New Testament, 1 Cor. 10:23 NVIDIA graphics cards in recent years have not favored the average gamer with opportunities for overclocking. Already on the 10 series boards, the algorithms for automatic management of GPU clock frequencies are set up to use most of the performance reserve within the calculated TDP and cooling system capabilities. Accelerators of the Turing family, […]
Not long ago, the Apple Arcade monthly subscription service was announced, giving users access to a library of mobile games for devices running the iOS mobile platform. The service has not yet launched, but developers at Google have already started testing an analog for their own ecosystem. The service has been named Google Play Pass. Images that recently surfaced on the Internet, […]

The developers of Fedora Linux announced the formation of the Minimization Team, which will work with package maintainers to reduce the installation size of delivered applications, runtime, and other components of the distribution. The size is planned to be reduced by ceasing the installation of unnecessary dependencies and excluding optional components such as documentation. Reducing the size will help achieve smaller application containers and specialized builds […]
