How to remove annoying pop-up banner ads from websites and blogs using browser settings

Little things about everything that surrounds us in the browser space. All my friends in the blogosphere are wonderful admins and talented programmers. But many, like me, face minor problems in everyday life, and there is not enough time to figure out how to fix them.
I will help you solve some problems. If you already know everything, then pass by this post and do not snort at me for doing such nonsense. Maybe someone, like me, would like to solve everything, but does not know how. Then my post is for them.
In general, I confused you, so let's go in order, or rather, according to the degree of irritability:

1. Someone makes money on pop-ups Pop up, pop under, click underand some people go crazy. Yes, I don’t argue, it brings good money, but it irritates to the toothache!
I don't want to visit this site anymore.
For example, my Internet music hosting hosted these banners and now I get a pop-up window with porn for every sneeze. I can't see. But, as they say, let the husband and the drinker, but mine, so Hosting I don't want to change, I'm used to it.
But there is no strength to withstand the influx of banners.
Here is what I suggest for hiding multiple ads in different banners

Opera:

1. Using the settings file urlfilter.iniwhich can be freely downloaded. More precisely, here is his code, it is simple, you can write the same one yourself, but with its own limitations.
2. Banner cutting. It turns out that she not only removes the funny banners that I mocked, but also cuts perfectly Pop up.
This article describes several ways to do this. The article is not new, but it is the best that I have been able to find to date.
3. The same article describes blocking using scripts, but I haven’t tried this yet, but limited myself to a simple content ban.
4. With the help of Guénon's resource, it was discovered how to quickly and easily block missed pop-unders, that is, those that are normally configured (Tools/Quick settings/Block unsolicited windows) were not destroyed.
The meaning is in a certain list of advertising services that are driven into the Opera database of prohibited content.
Of course, the number of sites hidden under pop-under is growing inexorably and the list of proposed sites is inevitably outdated. But in order to calm your nerves, you just need to register the sites once and no longer admire the pop-up offers of hot sex or naked asses.

Mozilla Firefox:

1. Usually a simple blocking works like the 4th point in Opera.
This is done in the following way: Tools/Additions/press Adblock Plus/Setting/Add filter/Enter website address.
The same list, just add objectionable sites.
2. In addition, in Mozilla Firefox includes special components that block pop-up windows. The developers tried to make our life more convenient, not like the creators Opera.
They came up with an addon or application that is placed on top of the browser - Adblock Plus 1.0.2.

Internet Explorer:

According to statistics, the lion's share of users prefer the good old IE. As they say, Gates scored our brains, so that many already blindly believe in the infallibility of this browser.
By the way, he has the most “perforated” protection. In the sense of not Gates, but the browser. All adware, trojans, bars and other nonsense make their way to you through Internet Explorer. Think!
Whatever it was IE has powerful protection against pop-up ads. And it is into it that various protective mechanisms of antiviruses are introduced. So, as soon as the Trojan tries to boot, it will be caught right there and if not neutralized, then at least reported.
The good old security settings work, in which the browser cuts off all ads.
By the way, it will not be superfluous to hide advertising from search engines, if you have already decided to make money on it. Otherwise, an ugly place awaits you, a punishment cell called a ban!
2. The first point was about Pop up, pop under, click under and the ugliness they produce.
Now a few words about how to save your personal Url's, which are usually stored in browser directories. Yes, I know, now is the age of technology and many people store bookmarks in online services. But besides this, there is a layer of people who, in the old fashioned way, use the Tab "Add to Favorites».
About exporting bookmarks and mail to Mozilla Firefox, Sergey Lednev described in detail, who are interested - read it.
About IE everything is as simple as 3 fingers on asphalt:

XP: (System disk) :Documents and SettingsxxxFavorites
Vista: (System disk) :UsersxxxFavorites
What about Opera A couple of years ago I had to break my head. The thing is that bookmarks are stored in a special file with the extension . Adrwhich we need to extract.

The scheme is as follows:

1. Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks
2. File/Export Opera Bookmarks
3. When reinstalling, we are looking for a file.adr, replace it with ours and enjoy 🙂
And you can tell me that all this is bullshit on a dead September night - I still helped someone in this world now.
