4. Check Point Getting Started R80.20. Installation and Initialization

Welcome to lesson 4. Today, we will finally 'test' Check Point, virtually of course. During the lesson, we will perform the following actions:

1. We will create virtual machines;
2. We will install the Security Management Server (SMS) and Security Gateway (SG);
3. We will get familiar with the disk partitioning process;
4. We will initialize SMS and SG;
5. We will learn what SIC is;
6. We will access the Gaia Portal.

Additionally, at the beginning of the lesson, we will look at the installation process of Gaia on physical Check Point devices, i.e., on appliances.
