Reporting is an important capability for Azure DevOps users who rely on Analytics (Azure Analytics Service) for data-driven decision making.
Today, we're excited to announce that the following Analytics features will be included with Azure DevOps Services at no additional charge. In the near future, customers will see these changes in their accounts.
Analytics features now available in Azure DevOps Services
Analytics Widgets - Customizable modules that display data on a dashboard and help track progress.
Burndown and Burnup β monitoring the progress of work in certain areas over a certain period of time.
Velocity β tracking how the team adds value over several sprints.
Test Results Trend - Track test trends, identify failures and test durations for one or more pipelines (Azure Pipelines).
In Product Experiences - Analytics works in Azure DevOps and outside of the dashboard that displays data and analytics.
Top Failing Test Report - get an idea of ββthe most serious failed tests in your pipeline.
We will continue to offer Power BI Integration via Analytics Views and direct access to OData Endpoint in preview for all Azure DevOps Services tenants. More details on the pricing model for Power BI and OData integration should be expected by June 2019.
Current Azure DevOps Services customers who have the Marketplace Analytics extension installed can continue to use Analytics as before and do not need to take any additional steps to get Analytics. So we will condemn Marketplace Analytics extension for hosted clients.
Azure DevOps Server 2019
For Azure DevOps Server, Analytics will remain in Preview as an installable extension on the local marketplace and will become public in the next major release.
Azure DevOps Analytics is the future of reporting and we will continue to invest in the new features that Analytics provides. To learn more about Analytics and what it currently offers:
