First of all, the app developers want to thank all the Habra users for their feedback on the first blog post about Cloud-Clout. They carefully read all the comments, responded to them, and drew conclusions about the future development of the product.
The main question from readers on all resources where the app review was published concerned the openness and security of Cloud-Clout itself. Users want to know what data the app collects and whether it can be trusted. This is fair. Therefore, it was decided to gradually reveal details of the app's operation to reassure users about the complete safety of using the product.
For those who are not yet familiar with the safest way to store files in public clouds and share them with other users, we recommend checking out the previous about Cloud-Clout on Habr.
The first thing that will be revealed is the app's API. Why start with this? Because every API call explains what exactly Cloud-Clout exchanges between the client and server and what information it stores on its server. Below is the link to the API, as well as a "live" example of a registration request.
In addition, the developers continue to improve the product itself. Last week, they added the option to log into the app using a fingerprint—something many users requested in comments and emails. Now you can authorize in Cloud-Clout much easier and faster.
The file sharing feature in the app is becoming increasingly popular, so they also intend to actively develop it. Currently, they are working on the ability to share files with other app users via QR code, should users be nearby (this avoids sending IDs).
