On May 27-28, an industry exhibition and a number of professional thematic conferences "Russian Internet Technologies 2019" were held in Moscow. Selectel traditionally supported the event and acted as its partner. Today we will briefly tell you what exactly was remembered by the guests and participants.

Perhaps the main desire of each visitor was the desire to create more clones for himself or to start a “time flywheel” in order to have time to visit all the reports of the participants, passing in nine parallel streams. Narrow-profile conferences with hardcore presentations are the strongest side of the event, as it allows you to bring together under one roof specialists of various fields: from developers and system administrators to entrepreneurs and managers.
Among the most "hot" topics of the reports, in our opinion, were:
- the concept of continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD);
- incident management;
- automation of routine processes;
- fault tolerance and building distributed systems.
The speakers shared their extremely interesting experience in solving complex problems, talked about the tools used, as well as the developed methodology for solving emerging problems. For example, the Leroy Merlin company switched to a microservice architecture, faced with performance problems of a monolithic system. The developers had to do a tremendous job of moving the business logic into separate microservices using RabbitMQ.
During the breaks between reports, it was possible to both discuss what they heard with “colleagues in the shop” and check out any ideas in their ecosystem:
At the booths of the presented companies, guests were treated to a lot of "geeky" entertainment: from solving puzzles and puzzles to shooting from futuristic office weapons.
All this created its own indescribable atmosphere in which the discussion of serious and important issues could take place during an air hockey game or a duel in Mortal Combat.
Events of this level are not only a great opportunity to tell about the company, but also to get feedback from those who are already existing customers. At our booth, we heard honest feedback on the work of our services, as well as interesting suggestions for improving the quality of our services.
