F5 acquires NGINX to bring NetOps and DevOps together and deliver consistent application services to customers across all environments. The deal is valued at approximately $670 million.
The development team, including Igor Sysoev and Maxim Konovalov, will continue to develop NGINX as part of F5.
F5 expects to implement its security expertise in the Nginx server, as well as use it in its cloud products.
