I have been using wireless chargers for 1,5 years now. And I think this is the future. Today, wireless charging is quietly appearing in everyday life. And in a few years they can become a strong and noticeable competitor to wired chargers.
Here are the pros of wireless charging:
1) Saving money. Charging is cheaper than wire. The cost of a new high-quality wire (or buying a wire urgently) will be more than the cost of wireless charging.
2) Economy of forces. It is more convenient for me to put the phone on charge than to get the wire. Yes, for this you need to put your phone in the wireless charging center for it to start charging. But it's easy to do so I gave measurements of the wireless charging zone.
3) Convenience. If different phones are used at home, then usually everyone has different chargers. QI wireless charging is a single charging standard.
The same logic applies if you have several gadgets. Wireless headphones, the watch is also charging on wireless charging. And you can charge several devices at once on chargers with multiple coils.
4) Simplification of life. Where should I put the wireless charger and charge my phone? where the phone is not used.
If you put the charger near the bed, at the workplace, in the kitchen, in the car, and place the phone on the platform when it is not in use, then the phone will always be charged.
That is, without making any effort to charge the phone - it will always be charged.
- keep the phone not under the pillow, but near the bed
- put not on the seat in the car, but in the phone holder
- put not just on the table near the computer, but on a stand
The same daily activities will result in an always charged phone.
Why do I think this is the future?
10 years ago, wifi in hotels was considered a convenient feature. Now it's a must.
2 years ago, payment via NFC was new and almost never used. Now almost every second payment in Russia is made contactless.
In the near future, wireless charging will be in all new models of phones, hotels, restaurants, cars, tables.
Let's take England as an example. Hotels, hostels, chain restaurants already have wireless chargers. Now there are about 5 of them, but the number of charging places is actively growing in France, Germany and the USA. Even in Russia, there are several network establishments that also install chargers for themselves.

The technology is not yet 100% working. There is still potential for its improvement (increase in the charging area up to 2-3 cm, power up to 20W and some more commercial improvements for mass market chargers), but already now the advantages of such charging outweigh the disadvantages.
In a few years, no wireless charging will be the same as no wifi in a hotel today - you won't even stay at this place.
